Claire joined the Empire team in October 2008. Claire was previously Deputy Manager at Aberdeen Citizens Advice Bureau for 2 years where she managed the HR function of the Organisation, and specialised in employment, welfare and finance cases.
Claire has a law degree and is CIPD qualified. She has assisted clients with difficult redundancies and restructures, as well as disciplinary and grievance issues. Holding a particular interest in employment law and business, Claire has supported clients in making commercial people management decisions whilst minimising risks in terms of tribunal claims.
A keen researcher and writer, Claire is the editor of our acclaimed Employment Law Bulletin.
In her spare time Claire runs a small business teaching children to swim. She is currently studying British Sign Language Level 2. Claire has a 6 year old daughter who is obsessed with horses, and spends weekends planning her wedding.
